I have been on Atkins for almost 3 weeks. I was 176 and then I lost 13lb in the first week then maintained 166 up to now. I am following it to a "T". On the weekends tho- I have been drinking the Mich Ultra low carb beer and sometimes the Diet-rite no carb, no sugar with Rum.
Do you think this is hendering my weightloss from going down further? I bought the Ketostiks last night and did my first test this morning...It was dark purple. Even after drinking over the weekend. If I read this right, Purple is good? Unfortunaltey, I did not measure myself prior to the diet. I went ahead and wrapped the tape this morning. I have been logging my daily food, excersise and water in my own daily log. In the beging, I was eating alot of the foods allowed for induction. Week 2 & 3 I find myself eating hardley anything during my meals. Could this also be a henderince? I noticed in my chart that I lost alot when I ate more. Also- the Atkins bars allowed for induction... are they considered "Frankenfoods"?
I have read all the threads on the first 2 pages. It definatley has answered most of my questions. By like they say- everyone has a different story and experiences. They way I look at it, I put the weight on, I can't just expect it to fall of as easy....You pay for your mistakes eventually. This helps people learn not to take their body for granted. They will see how hard it is to loose the weight and be sure not to let it happen again!
