I made it without horseradish and it turned out fine I just omitted it from the recipe (I couldnt' find any at the store LOL...was at BJ's wholesale).

A whoosh is just the release of any water you may be retaining. A whoosh will happen eventually, even without horseradish - your body can't hang onto it forever, right? Drink extra water and that may help.

Trust me, sometimes it feels like forever, but you're right. A whooshy is bound to happen sooner or later. Although sooner is nice.

Oysters are my personal whoosie food! I wrap them in bacon and broil them in the oven. (MoGs recipe!) Almost a guarantee to drop a pound overnight or more, no clue why! lol

Okay - I'm a bit lost - what's a whooshie pie? I love horseradish - especially with chilled shrimp - Is a whooshie when you lose a few pounds pretty quickly? I'd love to be whooshed - please share your secrets.

Re: so i made a whoosie pie...

Basically this whooshie pie is a recipe that brought on a weight loss for someone, a "whooshie". It's a hamburger pie with some extras. i love it personally. We added more horseradish to it actually. If you don't like the horseradish I imagine it will turn your stomach. Horseradish is known to have a diuretic effect so that is why it works for some people. Pretty much anything that preceeds a few pounds within a few days can be considered to be a whooshie food for you. If you search whooshie pie here you can see a recipe. Like I said, I've made it a few times and i like it alot, but I'll eat almost anything.

Re: so i made a whoosie pie...

Thanks Dot, I appreciate you answering my question - I have yet to find what makes me "whoosh" but did find a few recipes tonite - I actually made a creamcheese/light mayo/worchester/horseradish sauce for our beef tenderloin - and it was actually pretty good. I also ended up using a little of the sauce on chilled shrimp to use instead of cocktail sauce, and I made deviled eggs using a little of the sauce mixed in with the hard boiled egg yolks, so who knows maybe tomorrow, I'll have my own "whooshie" stories to tell If not, oh well, dinner was really yummy!!

                  Thanks again, Elisabeth

Hmm... you know. You *Can* use hot sauce to the same affect, or salsa. Just make sure it doesn't have that many carbs.

Citrus fruits ((not allowed on induction I think, unless it's like a squirt of lemon into water.))Horse Radish and Hot sauce are very similar in that they can cause an increase in metabolism.

I made Whooshie Pie once, and hubby and I both wanted to

Personally, I'd much rather have a ribeye with a side of horseradish sauce. Grated horseradish, mayonaise, and sour cream.
