  • Woo! Met my mini goal!

I gave in to the scale today and weighed myself....I got to my mini goal of 300! That means this week (week 3) I lost 5 pounds. I was hoping for more (been busting myself on the elliptical and I'm up to 7 minutes on it! When I started a few weeks ago I could barely get through 2 mintues!) but everyone said my losing my slow down in week three and four....does it pick back up?

Also, I was wondering...has anyone ever just totally lost their appetite? I mean, I'm finding a hard time eating, just because I don't feel hungry at all and I have the energy to do so much that eating is just slipping my mind a lot. Is that normal? I've been having to force myself to eat...but I still haven't been eating a Lot during the day, could that slow down my weight loss? Or the fact that I've eaten less and still have the energy to go all day and not just feel lightheaded or starving, is my body just burning up fat?

I'm just wondering since I'm not 100% sure and I don't have the book yet....

Everyone is so different and so there is no solid answer about slowing down. I think the less you have to lose, the more likely that you will slow.

The appetite suppression is a WONDERFUL natural byproduct of this way of eating so you are totally normal in feeling that way! Great isn't it? You should not force yourself to eat if you aren't hungry though. Just make sure you eat a little something at least every 6 hours that you are awake. Your body is nourishing itself off your fat stores. Just be careful to take your supplements and eat when you are hungry.

Hooray for you by the way! Awesome job!

Do get the book though. Half.com has it for as little as 75 cents! It is a must if you really want to make this work out for the long run..

    Congrats again!

Congrats Jen! It's so exciting to meet each goal...can't wait till I get to my mini goal too. Keep up the great work!

I know what you mean about not being hungry sometimes. The other day, I just couldn't finish my lunch (and it tasted good too). Then I paid for it i the afternoon...I got so hungry! Good thing to always have some low carb snacks handy.

Re: Woo! Met my mini goal!

Congratulations! I did have a small "pause" during my 3-4th weeks. I went ahead and moved into OWL in week 5 and my weightloss started back up again. I have about 70 lbs to lose, and since I've been in OWL I've been steadily losing an average of 2lbs per week...some weeks more, some less.

The appetite suppression is NORMAL and FANTASTIC. As cypress said, just make sure to eat something every 6 hours, even if you're not hungry to stabilize your blood sugar.

Thank you guys! For the congrats and for the answer to my question....I was just worried that I might be stopping my metabolism from burning fat up since I hadn't been eating enough.
