  • beginning extended induction...

Morning all, I am just started the extended portion of induction. I lost 14 lbs in the first two weeks. I have to really commit to exercise right now. I am doing great on the diet portion. I joined a karate class, and that will help, but it is only once a week. So, my goal for this week is to incorporate more exercise into my program. I would like to get to below the 250 mark before my next weigh in. that is 6 lbs but I am going to go for it.

Congrats on your hard work - 14lbs is wonderful!!

Good luck with your new karate class - that should help out quite a bit. =)

That's great 14 lbs in a few weeks. Sounds like you're right on track. A karate class is cool. That will have you huffin' and puffin' that weight away. Good choice!

Congrats on your progress thus far! Well done

Although the karate class is only once a week, remember you'll get a bit more exercise at home practicing.

If you don't have a gym membership (I don't!), I'd suggest swinging by the library and checking out what they have for exercise videos. It's a cheap and easy way to find other forms of exercise that appeal to you, and you don't have to leave home to get it done! The exercise is *so* important!

Remember that for a *lot* of us, starting an exercise routine will seemingly slow down or halt your weight loss. Do not let the scale dictate your progress to you, especially during this time. Your body is going to retain some water while you subject it to this new stress - but you WILL be losing fat and building lean, strong, beautiful muscle - and that's the important part!!

          Much success to you

            Another question

I waas wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me. I went out for a walk this morning with my daughter and was absolutely exhausted when I got home. It was only 25 minutes and I have never had a problem walking before. I can usually do 5-6 miles without more than muscle soreness. Well, this morning when I got home I was sooo tired. Is there anything I can do to make the walks a little less exhausting?
