    Hey Everyone,
    Im on day 17, and I have stalled out for the last week. ONE WHOLE WEEK!! I'm getting kinda discouraged. I have been drinking at least 64 oz of water a day, excersizing 5 days a week (Ive gotten up to 30 minutes on the elliptical machine, and then 20 min on treadmill!!) I have also been METICULOUS about what I eat..and I mean OBSESSED. NOTHING passes my lips without my knowing whats in it and how many carbs per serving. I know I am in ketosis, the strips have consistently been in the "high" range. So...whats going on?? I'm even starting to get some cravings back, which is not like me.
    The only thing that I can think of is that I have ONE SF jello at night after dinner...surely thats not whats causing it??
    I know you guys have answered this type of question over and over again, but it would really encourage me if you would answer mine

    Sarah, nothing is wrong. It happens to most of us, its your body just adapting to the new way of eating. Stress makes our bodies hang on to fat, so just relax and the pounds will start to go again.

    Very offen, the old timers will tell you, this is the time to check you measurements cause we lose inches when the pounds don't seem to be dropping. Sounds strange but it happens. Try on some once tight pants and see if I'm not right.
    Oh and if you are worried, post a couple days menus so the experts can check out what your eating.

      yep weight loss doesn't happen every day just as we ddin't gain it daily we will not lose it daily. Stalls are defined as 4 weeks of no inches nor pounds lost by Dr Atkins. you are inh a small post induction weight loss hesitation period. Happens on all weight loss plans and this is where you say it stopped working for me and quit. Check the inches as Lynne said and watch the fat melting off your body.

        This happens(ed) to alot of us...including myself. It's just your body adjusting. It was the point that I decided to move into OWL.

        Take this time to measure, measure, measure. Frequently when you don't see the scale moving, the tape measure will. Take some photographs of yourself too, and then some more after a month or so. That will give you motivation when you see the results.

        Go to the recipe forum and find all kinds of scrumptuous recipes to make. Just keep at it!

          You guys are such gems..i really mean that!! I dont know if I could do this without all the support I get from ya'll!!
          I took your advice, and tried on a pair of (previously) tight pant, and they were just about right!!
          Thank you all for the advice and encouragement! I cant wait until I am the one giving encouragement to others!!

              You got good advice about sticking with it and measuring. Stalls happen to all of us... some sooner, some later; but if you hang in there, the weight will go for sure and in a while those long stalled days will seem to have gone by in a flash. Now is definitely not the time to quit! You can do this!

                I stalled around day 13 for 4/5 days.. but thats when people really started to notice.. as i was losing inches


                I've started to lose again now. Just keep at it.
