  • Can inches lost stall at one body part but proceed at another?

I've haven't shown any weight loss on my waist in a little over a week now... maybe 1.5 weeks.

I *think* I'm starting to loose again but its only maybe 1/4 " so it could just just be a liberal measurement on my part... ha.

    Anyway...

Could it be possible that I'm still loosing weight but that it isn't showing up on my current waist measurement? Maybe the weight loss is happening on my legs or something?

I've only ever weight my waist because its the easiest to do and I know EXACTLY where to do it ......

I think if I don't start moving shortly I'm going to go back to induction for a while... I think I might have started to eat more protein that I should be and its pushed me out of induction... Its HARD to find solid fat sources here in thailand.

What I should have done is just come to Phuket and rented an apt so that I can cook and bought a bunch fo cheap food at the local market...

When you lose weight, it is naturally going to come from all over your body. Sometimes it will show more in your waist or legs or neck....the list goes on! It is important to have your ratios correct but it doesn't sound like you are having a real problem so tampering with what you are doing now could end up messing you up. If you were measuring all over, using the scales and then didn't see any movement anywhere for several weeks...I would look to tweak your situation a bit, perhaps. As it stands, eat what you are supposed and move around some - throw in some ab type exercises if your waist concerns you. You know the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it'? Well, it doesn't sound broke so I wouldn't go tinkering with it!

Well... the problem is that I think it *might* be broken ...

I've added things to OWL from different stages not according exactly to DANDR... Things were working well for a LONG time but I'm worried that I've added too much protein and its caused me not to loose because my body has migrated to burning protein.

Annyway.... I think I'm going to run a few more days like this and push back... in the interim I'm going to make sure to add more fat.

I lose in really weird places. For the majority of the time it's been in my waist and abdomen, but that hasn't moved as much recently....because there's less there to lose. What I recently noticed is that my shoulders are getting defined...so I must be losing there. I haven't seen any movement in my upper arms and thighs in weeks and weeks but my pants ARE fitting better...so maybe I'm losing at a different place in my thigh than where I put my tape measure.

You have to use multiple tools to measure with. I use the obvious ones, scale and tape measure...but i also use clothing as measurement tool as well. Photographs too. I posted a sweaty workout face pic in one of the forums, and someone noticed right away my shoulders!! So, find other ways to measure your success, and just keep going!
