OK so how do you make cheese chips I don't really eat cheese either I am dairy intolerant though I do enjoy a cup of decaff with heavy cream so long as I don't go nuts I am ok but, cheese well it hates me. You just had to say CHEESE DAMN YOU!!!!! I am sooo limited it's really retarded.

sorry for hijacking this flax topic but forget the cheese

how about trying to make PP chips. mix some plain PP if you like it with water try 1T to one T spread it out on parchment paper and nuke to dry. it should get crisp if you used plain PP you should have chips for dipping. I've do it with corn bran and PP and some ranch dry seasoning mix for coll ranch doritos type chips. you may need less water depending on your microwave and becareful whey PP will burn!

first get your chip texture right then flavor them in the next batch and remeber the podwer will add a few carbs and use up some of your liquid in the mix too. my fist attemp was more dip then chip as I had to much water in there.

Okay, I tried the mock danish with the flax seeds, and I was pleasantly surprised. They were great! Here's what I used.


2 ounces cream cheese
1 large egg
1 packet Splenda (can't wait for my liquid to arrive)
1 capful DaVinci's CHOCOLATE (yes, chocolate syrup)
1 capful Atkins raspberry syrup
1 tablespoon flax seed (mine looked like it was already meal - I'm not sure how big regular flax seeds are)
1 tablespoon whey protein

I topped it with a little butter. You coiuld also use a little cream cheese.

Next time, 2 capfuls DaVinci's CHOCOLATE and some chocolate whey protein. No raspberry. Maybe it would come out like a chocolate donut or muffin. It's the closest thing I've had to bread in a month, and it was good.

Bren has a chocolate doughnut recipe using just choclate whey protein and water.

you do know you have used up your sweetner allowance for the day with that recipe you got 3+ servings in there is your whey is flavored.

OMG Donut using WHEY Now I gotta have that I could have that OHHHH YUMMY. It would be lower in cals too WOW that would be excellent unless it's cooked in oil but, hey for a treat that would be soooooo YUMMY.

I know all it used was shake mix and water and she deep fried them but I nuked them and used whey PP

Wow....... I forgot all about these 2big. The recipe is in the recipe section (on the top of the index).

Ingredients:1 scoop of the Dr. atkins vanilla(or choc will do) protein shake mix
1 egg
2 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp water
(I also tried this with the Atkins bake mix in place of the protein shake mix and found it to be even more donut-like.)


How to Prepare:

mix together and fry in a pan w/ oil. I drop spoon full sizes into the oil and when their done, I sprinkled some splenda on them.

Also, you can put a bit of a glaze on them instead of the box Splenda - for one batch, used 2T of cream mixed with 2 packets of Splenda, then dribbled that over the donuts

Sara are you at the nut rung? If you are almond meal I would think it would be a good substitute for flax in the mock danish.

Yes if you buy the whole seeds you have to grind them, your body cannot digest whole flax seeds so you get no nutritional benefit from eating them whole. It always amazes me how many commercial 'flax breads' i see on the shelves that have whole flax seed all thru them.

I have Done all the RUNGS Sadie I am Nut sensitive almonds too, Can't have Wheat or Flax, cheese is a big Problem UHH HUM too many trips to the can. I have having stomach cramps and so I stay away from all of this stuff. I wish I could have more then 1 handful of nuts I love them found out I was sensitive in the nut rung every time I would eat more then a handful I would get a sore throat. They are an occasional treat. It really sucks having allergies to soo many things.

My whey protein wasn't sweetened. (2g carbs in a 24g scoop. I used only 1/4 scoop, so that means only .5g carbs, and no splenda in it).

if it is flavored it is sweetened look for ACE-K, aspartamine erythrisol or other sugar alcohols in there.
