Anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking of buying some L-Carnitine (sp?). Could that help a little? Thanks!!

The Scale Won't Budge!
I am getting so discouraged! The scale will not budge no matter how good I am. The weird thing is I feel like I am loosing weight. I really haven't been working out since I'm in nursing school and haven't had time, so it can't be I'm gaining muscle. I haven't really changed anything I eat that I ate when I was dropping weight. Just frustrating!
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking of buying some L-Carnitine (sp?). Could that help a little? Thanks!!

Re: The Scale Won't Budge!
move to OWL
Use your tapemeasure to see if you have inches of fat being shed.
If you do a little checking you will find A) you are not doing Atkins since you are not exercising per Dr Atkins words chaspter 15 and 22 of DANDR and B) even without exercise the human body will store proteins in muscle and organ tissues and add lean body mass eating Atkins (UConn did the study)by the book atkinseer

Re: The Scale Won't Budge!
I would echo 2big's suggestion of moving to OWL now, sa many members have posted that staying on induction seemed to lead to a standstill of weightlosses, and that moving to OWL restarted it!
Dr Atkins told us to lose our last 5-10 pounds very slowly in the premaintenance phase, so to spend the right amount of time conducting the great OWL experiment you really ought to start climbing that carbohydrate ladder!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: The Scale Won't Budge!
HERE HERE! I agree wholeheartedly. If you find yourself in a slump, HIDE THE SCALE FOR A MONTH. Don't sweat the small stuff and don't worry too much. After all, it's only food. You can do it!Originally posted by hey_nelson..." Takes the scale, heaves it out the window, dusts off hands, and smiles."
