Hi everyone. I have been reading the book, doing induction, and reading this forum for about a month now. I was very excited to start induction and lost 5 pounds within the first two weeks, but I have not lost anything since then.
I went to the doctor and had my bloodwork done and everything is fantastic. My total cholesteral is 183, HDL (good) is 72 (normal 40-59, the higher the better), LDL (loser) 93, tryglycerides are 92. I do not have much to lose, about 30 more pounds, and I did not have a terrible diet when I started Atkins. My question is will I mess up my excellent numbers above by eating more saturated fats now, while limiting my carbs to 20-25, and eating more fat overall? I am pretty astonished at my numbers and don't want to risk losing ground with them.
I'm also scared to move into OWL. I have a hard enough time eating enough now, how will I add more to what I already eat? Or is it a case of substituting 5 more carb grams for 5 fat grams?
Thanks for listening. I have to go eat dinner now and probably will not be able to check back here until tomorrow morning. You all have been so helpful in other posts and I have learned much.
