  • where to buy?

Atkins products? like breads, sauces, syrups... I know some of this isn't for induction, I was just wondering if there's a special store, or section of a store? My DH is also doing this journey with me, although he is pretty much already at goal (and lost almost twice as much as I did since we started!!). But nevertheless, he is sticking it out to help me! Awww! Anyway, I know he would love to be able to have a sandwich once in a while, so I was wondering about the above question!

    Thanks all!

There's a place here called Lo Carb Marketplace that carries all those things. Sometimes you can find them in the bigger supermarkets in the diet sections too.

    Good luck to you!

Low carb breads are in most supermarkets now. In the regular bread section...don't buy the Atkins brand (if its ever still around) it sucks! Nature's Own makes a good low carb bread. Be sure and check the labels carefully!

I saw Atkins bars at Walmart. I've seen Ezekiel Bread (no flour made with sprouted grains) in the frozen food section of the grocery store and at the health food store. I've also seen a bread in the frozen section called Pure Protein bread that's made with no flour.

Thanks all! By chance, has anyone had any luck at a Publix supermarket?

Yes, Publix is where I shop here in Florida. The bread is in the frozen section by the bocca burgers and other vegitarian frozen stuff. By the way, company policy is that they will stock whatever you ask them to if you ask the manager and he can find it.

                  Re: where to buy?

                  Hi again,

I looked at Publix today for the lo carb bread for my DH, and all of the frozen breads had at least 10 net carbs/slice. Oouch! Is there a specific brand you use from there that has less? I ended up getting him Nature's Own Wheat n Fiber (5 net carbs/slice and no sugar). Do you think I could find something better carbwise?

I did run across a lo carb deli/market the other day but they were closed. I bet I'd have good luck there...

Duno if you would really call this low carb but I eat White Wheat bread which seems pretty reasonable. Has a total of 7 net carbs per slice which i dont mind with a hamburber or somthing of that sort every now and again. Not really sure how many carbs are in low carb bread though. Never purchased any before.
