  • I noticed since I started the diet...

    that I barely use the bathroom except for urinating...I don't feel constipated, but this probably isn't normal.







    Starting Weight: 307-310
    Current Weight: 220
    Short Term Goal Weight: 225 by May 1st (met)
    Long Term Goal: 215 pounds by June 12th (almost there!)

    Normal...when I was eating carbage (ie. lots of filler) I'd go every day...sometimes with IBS..yuck.

    Now, once or twice a week is it...if I'm having a red meat week...once...maybe. I've NEVER had a problem with painful BM's...just not frequent ones. I am guilty though of drinking sugar free metamucil the night before my weigh day because I want to make SURE I go before I weigh. LOL

      I agree with Valid. It is actually pretty typical, especially in the Induction phase. When you choose your veggies, you may want to aim for ones with higher fiber. Or, you could use flax seed to get some extra fiber. Either way, it is normal and you shouldn't worry about it unless you are having some type of problem with it. Just continue to drink lots!

        I'm totally the same. I only use the toilet for that about twice a week. When I wasnt on the diet it was every day.

        Valid- good idea about the day b4 weigh in!

        Did Atkins on and off from Feb 2005 until April 2008. Fluctuated between 15 st 1/211lbs and 11 st 1/155lbs.
        On different weightloss programme from 28th May 2008 start weight 14 st 11/207lbs.
        Current weight 10st 3lbs/143lbs.
        Ultimate Goal Weight 9 st/126lbs.
