Did you eat anything that was high sodium that would make you retain water? Is it TOM? Do you normally drink 70oz? Sometimes you go a couple pounds up before you get a big wooshie. I dunno, they're all just options. Hang in there, you'll lose it and more, have fun on your bike ride.

I feel your pain trust me! I finally dropped 5 pounds after being stalled for almost a month. Don't worry it will come off just keep eating good, exercising and drinking plenty of water and you'll have no problem. There are going to be periods of time where you're going to stall and then lose, I know it will be very frustrating but just know that this is normal.

One of the most frustrating things about weightloss is the fact that your body is not a machine. Sometimes, it does what it wants whether logical or not. The best we can do is hang around for the ride and not get too freaked out by the occassional "bounce." The additional weight will come off and is almost certainly water just give it time.

The scale will fluctuate and frustrate. There have been times when I went up 2 or 3 lbs in a day and then the next day it was gone. Don't let the scale get the best of you. It's not always the best indicator of your progress. Know that you are doing everything right and the weight and inches will come off.

            Re: grrrr

The scale can't assess your body makeup of combined muscle, fat and water on a day to day basis. My advice is to step away from the scale and weigh yourself every two weeks or once a month and no more frequently than that. If you are following the plan as it was written, taking your measurements every couple of weeks will be a better indicator of how you are progressing.
