  • fell off the wagon after 25 days on induction

I fell off the wagon yesterday , (3 doubles- those are like indian fried pita breads stuffed with curried chickpeas, peppses, mango condiments)- loaded with carbs.
my question- should I go to a very strict 24-48 hours without any carbs to get back into ketosis? what do you guys advise.. Thanks everyone.

just restart your Atkins and in a day or 2 y9ou will be back in ketosis. Read chapter 13 in your DANDR and see if now would be a good time to move to OWL for more food variety.

I did the same thing!! Exactly three completely cheatfree weeks... then I decided to celebrate my success with...you guessed it... a high carb meal! How stupid can I be??!!! Well, my one cheat turned into a two week carbfest! Now I'm back at square one. So, my advice is just to make sure your small cheat doesn't turn into a BIG cheat. Just begin again as soon as possible!!
        Starting over...again.

Don't go "no carb", just go back to Induction for 2-3 days eating as you know is right (veggies veggies water!). If you are/were in OWL, you could go back to your normal eating in OWL after that.

And think about whatever it was that made you cheat. Was it a trigger food? Emotional eating? In a situation where you just made a bad decision? Analyzing why we cheated can be useful to better prepare for the next time you are tempted.

If you are feeling deprived or bored, you may want to move into OWL and get more variety in your menu so that your are less tempted.

          Goal #1: 247 - 2nd 10% (59lbs, 247, also 100 lbs total loss) - Met 1/4/10!!!
          Goal #2: 241 - Halfway to goal! (106 lbs lost) - Met 2/21/10!!!

          Goal #3: 222 - 3rd 10% - Lowest Atkins weight
          Goal #4: 210 - Still on track!
          Goal #5: 200/199 - 4th 10% - One-derland! End year goal!

Re: fell off the wagon after 25 days on induction

thanks everyone for the advice and support.
Actually i fell off the wagon due to poor planning. we went out and i didnt take along anything, so i said mabee onlyone- Ill only eat the chickpeas and the veggies. then I ended up eating all three with the breads.
anyway, back on again and going strong.
One thing though, I dont know if it was the infusion of legume carbs, but I got VERY gassy after (if u know what i mean)
