I have this bad habit of eating before bed. I eat dinner around 7:30pm (hubby gets home then) and around 9pm - 11pm I get the munchies. I usually grab 10 pepperonies & a couple slices of cheese. Last night it was cheese & a 16 carb apple. How much does eating before bed effect weight loss? I can't help but think this is effecting my weight loss. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what are your wieght loss results?

Re: Eating Before Bed
actually the not eating before bed or after dinner will help lose weight is a myth.
it is the totasl amount you have consumed if you are hungry east if not and it is just the munchies then don't. our bodies burn cals and make repairs all during the night.by the book atkinseer

Re: Eating Before Bed
2Big is right (as usual - lol). However, are you eating because you are truly hungry or because it's just what you always do? Maybe you aren't eating enough at dinner? Also, I don't know what phase you are on, but apples aren't allowed until a much later rung, so if your weight loss is stalling, that may be the culprit. If you are having legal snacks though, and your percentages are all correct, then it shouldn't matter when you are eating them.Female, 46yrs, 5'3"

Re: Eating Before Bed
I don't think I am really hungry when I eat at night. I definitely fill up during dinner. Yes, the apple is a complete cheat. I've got to take them off the counter. They're in plain view!

Re: Eating Before Bed
It won't be long before you can have them legally, so why not forego them for the moment. I do snack sometimes in the evening but I really think about whether I'm truly hungry because I didn't eat enough, or if it's just the phantom munchies that come from sitting in front of the t.v. Just a thought. I'm trying to be more mindful about it myself.Female, 46yrs, 5'3"
