    Water.

I am a little surprised that you have gone 20 days and the craving hasn't gone yet to be honest. Cravings for sweet stuff usually disappear around 14 days in.

Yup when the relatives are visiting I'd kill someone for chocolate but when you've done so well and worked so hard and haven't cheated for 20 days don't let this be the start.

You can have some splenda so maybe making a mock danish or meringue suprises or whipping up some heavy cream with a bit of splenda might cure you but only if you feel like you're going to really splurge and go eat a chocolate bar.

Try this website: http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/ or this one http://www.sugarfreesheila.com/ They both have great recipies that are induction friendly.

First, I'd try drinking a big glasse of water and having a small snack of cheese or pepperoni or something before resorting to the induction legal sweet stuff because you really don't want to feed that craving while you're still doing induction. It's important to try to break free of those little holds. You may find after drinking the water and having the snack that it might be that you were just hungry.

Let us know how you make out!

take a sip of Diet Rite pop. It's sweet I think try that before anything. Well of course try a snack as suggested first. A big glass of water... and maybe some sips of diet rite before the deserts.

goodluck you can get past this

Re: In need of something sweet....

On induction I found a bowl of chopped celery mixed with mayo and some slices of sweet red peppers satisfied any 'sweets' cravings.

Eating something high in fat instead of something sweet will teach your body that you are in charge sometimes!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: In need of something sweet....

Ya know, when those sugar cravings hit me, I break down and whip up some cream, cocoa powder and splenda all prepared to "have my fix" and take 2 bites and dont even want it anymore. This has happened to me three times now. I think Im just gonna wait it out from now on or eat a pinch of cream cheese. High fat stuff usually does it for me. Auntie flo is visiting me now so its a pain, but im fighting it and staying strong!

Wanna know the weirdest thing? Im not craving the bad stuff, like cakes, cookies, candies, Im craving stuff like..Oatmeal! I really thought I was gonna cheat yesterday over some oatmeal!!! But the thought of cake discusted me...haha! Weird!

During my induction, this really cured my sweet cravings: Cream cheese whipped cream

                    It's sweet.

But it is HIGH HIGH in fat, and a little goes a LOOONNNGGG way toward the cravings.
