  • five pound swing

    k guys and girls ive been totally obsessed for past four weeks although i have not weighed myself until this week. i think im 235 but its been up as high as 241 and just now it was down to 230. anybody tell me whats going on?

    also can anyone else no when they are going to have a weight loss. its seems to me my belly where my biggest problem is gets squishy i drink a ton of water and within a day or two ive lost 3-4 pounds.

    at 235 ive lost 20#s in 4 weeks!!

    TWENTY POUNDS IN FOUR WEEKS!!!!!!

    FANTASTIC!!!

    Concentrate on doing a visual on twenty pounds of butter in those cute little boxes. THAT IS WONDERFUL!

    Weight lose is not a linear process. The scale can jump around. But, you will see it is a two steps forward, one back when you are dealing with the scale. If your a female it can flux ALOT certain times of the month. IF you have just begun exercising it can flux. A bajillion reasons the scale can lie.

    How is the tape measure doing?

    How do you feel?

    Do not become a slave to your scale. Take it from an ex-scale-junkie!

      congrats on your great job losing 20 pounds.

      as Bren said lots of reasons why you can have an up on the scale if you are eating your Atkins correctly and only feeding your hunger and stopping as soon as your hunger is satisfied then you will be a healtheir smaller person.

      Have you added a new to you food? some folk find in OWL that they actually had a food intorlerance they didn'ty know about until they add it back and ballon up. Megs had issues with grains and it showed with her asthma others get sudden pounds up on the scales as their immune system reacts with the irritant and produces swelling.

      Hang in ther and soon those pounds of water will be shed.

        id love to tell you what i weight but im doing the no scale challenge. I feel great and actually got to do some clothes shopping...got into those 36 not and getting close to large shirts again. Im one of those 30 pound people every year I am up and down 30 pounds. I like to diet for about 3 months I guess. I am determined not to be in "diet mode" and more of a maintenence next year!!

          I can kind of relate to the 30 pound person, except I didnt really go up and down 30 I just would gain 30 every 2 yrs, lol. I was pregnant every other yr for the past 5 yrs and would gain 50 with pregnancies and only take off 10 or so afterwards. Luckily I didnt gain much with the last one and we are done with having babies until...well who knows but it will be a a long time. Need at least 2 of them in school and right now none are yet.

          I also have lost out of my old clothes. A girl gave me a huge trashbag full of clothes just my size (or so I thought) They all read 22/24 which is what I wore but they were all too big. So I re-tried on all my stuff and had to chunk them out too (well gave them away on freecycle). Luckily I still have bags and bags of my skinny clothes. They are all divided by sizes, so one bag I wont be able to get to until after I reach goal, another will fit VERY soon. I have already pulled some stuff out of one bag (have them on now yay!!!!)

          That is WAYYYY BETTER THAN A SCALE!! I know its working when I can fit into stuff that I had to put away because it was too small.
