    hey guys, im stuck at am Impasse and Im so upset about it that Im thinking about just saying to **** with it. I have been on atkins for almost 2 months (december 8th) but Im walking for 30 min a day and not eating hardly any carbs and i have been stuck at 16 pounds for almost a damn month! what am I doing wrong on this?!?! im drinking water and walking i just dont know what to do. any ideas?

    Im stuck

    hey guys im posted somewhere else too but im gonna post it here too. I need help. i Have almost been on the atkins diet (induction) for near 2 months (dec. 8th). Im walking 30 minutes a day now and I am drinking water. I count carbs religiously and I have been stuck at 15 pounds for over a month now, im so upset that im about to say to **** with it! Does anyone have any experience/ideas to help me get back to positive weight loss?

      Even though you may not have lost weight for a month, you could be losing inches. Technically a stall is when you havent lost any weight or inches for 6 weeks.

      If you are being as strict as you say you are, then in time the scale will start moving downwards again soon. I am sure of it. What you are are experiencing is not uncommon. Stick with it for a bit longer and I know you will be pleasantly surprised.

      I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

        this too happened to me. Trust me i was ready to give up. All this hard work and you dont lose anything. WHATS UP WITH THAT! I started doing 1hr a day on the treadmill. walk 1/2 run 1/2. then i gave up cheese except for cream cheese and the weight is comming off again. Weird i think so too, but its seems to be working. Good luck Hang in there......you can do it!!

          with just 15 pounds to go you really need to heat to OWL phase. many slow extended induction folk discover they lose better in OWL with all the extra yummy veggies and stuff provings missing micro nutriants from induction.

          Check your inches and watch those inchesof fat being burned off your body cause as we work our Atkins we shed fat mass and add muscle and fluid mass and the scale only tells you the change in the total mass. you can be done 4 pounds of fat and up 2 pounds of muslce and 2 pounds of fluid and the scale will say no change.

            Why not post a few of your menus in the Review my Menu forum. Maybe there's just a small thing that needs tweaking.

              Hi

              Have you measured yourself? in the last 6 weeks, I only lost 4 pounds, but lost 10 inches!!! I've been on induction since August!!

              Dont give in - give it some more time

                I second the need to move into OWL, many people have found that doing this actually starts up their weight loss again. Your body needs to adjust as you move through the rungs and with the goal in sight, this would be the time to do.

                Don't get discouraged, you know the plan works if you work it, so keep doing it right and stay on track and you'll get there!
