Re: The Wooshie Fariy Blessed Me Today!

Hi Tracie! Here is the link to the Wooshie Pie recipe! My husband even liked it. It is different, but the more bites you take the better it is.

You are welcome! Be sure to put a bit extra horseradish in there - that is they key ingredient!!

Stella, what a great story! I know you must have felt so proud of yourself for resisting temptation, and then to be rewarded SOOO wonderfully was well-deserved! I find that everytime I resist -- especially when I'm very tempted -- I feel so much stronger the next time. It gets easier. I still have weak moments, but overall, resisting gets easier and easier as I reap the benefits -- both physical and emotional. I'm sure you're finding that, too.

Love the photos -- such a difference in your face. Keep up the great work!

Re: The Wooshie Fariy Blessed Me Today!

I agree...I guess it goes back to "that which does not kill us only makes us stronger" type thinking. For me, I like to actually have bad stuff around so it gets easier to resist it. For instance, for the past 2 weeks, I've had cookies, chocolates, candies, and bread sitting on my table, in the cupboards, on my counters...heck I baked most of it myself. The more I'm around it, the less I want it, which is weird. I can look at it, smell it, touch it (if I want to be gross and spread germs...just so you know, I DON'T touch everything on the plate and then put it back for unsuspecting guests) I just don't eat it.

I think if I weren't around it, I'd freak out if I DID see it...I think that's why so many people fall off the wagon this time of year--the goodies come out and they're not prepared on how to handle that situation.

Juli - I definitly agree with you. I baked sweets so much this past weekend that i think it made it easier not to eat it.
