  • Advice please

My final day of the fourteen day induction is on Sunday. I am feeling better than I did a week ago although I am finding it VERY hard to wake up in the morning. I have lost between 8 and 10 pounds depending on what mood my scale is in. I need/want to lose 28 more pounds and I am thinking of staying on induction another 2 weeks just to speed things up a bit. What do you think?

    Re: Advice please

Actually I would move on to Rung 1, OWL. Rung 1 is just another serving of legal veggies, and I LOVED this rung! I could finally have a salad at lunch AND dinner, OR I could have 2 servings of "other" veggies in a day! I hardly ever ate all 20g on induction, so moving to OWL finally put me at 20. I actually started losing MORE weight once I moved to OWL, too.

If you only have 28 lb. to lose, remember that the last 10 of that are spent on pre-maintenance. So really, you have 18lb. to lose during OWL--this is the time where you experiment with foods to see if they cause cravings or if you are sensitive/allergic. It's important to really work through OWL if you want to do this as a WOL. Spend a couple weeks on each rung, I think you'll really enjoy it!

      Re: Advice please

with only 28 lbs to go, I'd recommend moving up into rung 1 right away. I'm a HUGE advocate of moving on into the weight loss phases as opposed to staying in induction. You aren't guaranteed to lose any more weight by staying in induction and some folks find that they hinder their weightloss by staying in induction and when they move into OWL they start losing more. And, you get to add foods back in and have variety.

Ditto what the others said. Moving to OWL rung one would be good. You can stay there for a while... no need to rush up the rungs if you don't want to. Just be aware of your losses within the structure of the diet and move forward gradually.
Loads of people lose more when adding extra veggies.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I still think it's hysterical that everyone is so excited about eating more veggies!!!!! I am still thinking like a 6 year old.
