  • Feeling better but still have questions

Just passed my two week mark on Atkins...wish I could report I lost ___ lbs, but since I don't have a scale...I'll get to make that announcement next time I visit my Dr. I do feel pretty good. Been walking 2-3 miles a day, just picked up some small 5lb weights to do some arms lifts in the evening....all in all I do feel a boost in energy.....so here is the question of the day....well a couple...

last night I made fried chicken for the family, but didn't bread mine (yeah me) but I did fry it in the same pan at the same time. Do you think the flour in the oil would affect my induction?

Second question....I ate sugar free jello last night with whipped topping (in a can)....and the more I thought about it (of course after eating it) the more I thought OMG...this probably wasn't good....(BUT IT WAS SO GOOD)...

    thanks.

    Well done on the exercising

You will need to check the info on the can of whipped cream to see if it has sugar added to it. According to what I have read on these forums some sugarfree jello (jelly in UK for any Brits wondering what that is) is sweetened with aspartame which is not a recommended sweetener according to DANDR.
Dr Atkins recommended making your own using unsweetened gelatine and adding a 'legal' sweetener BTW)

Assuming there were no big lumps of flour stuck to your piece of chicken after cooking I would guess it was OK.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
