I just finished my first 4 wks on Atkins (2 wks induction and 2 wks extended induction). I've gone from 218 to 203. I was hoping for a greater weight loss in that time period. Is this considered excellent, good, average, below average or poor?

Re: Is 15 lb. loss considered good in 4 weeks?
It is related to other factors too, like how much you want to lose for example.
To me a loss of 15 pounds sounds quite good, I wouldn't mind for sure, hehehe.41 year old female, lenght 5'5'' and a half

Re: Is 15 lb. loss considered good in 4 weeks?
As the others said, we cant tell without knowing how much weight you are hoping to lose, but 15 pounds lost is 15 pounds you dont have to lose now
Maybe you can add to your signature some info like gender, height, start/current/goal weight to help people give more relevant advice?Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

15 pounds is awesome! That's an average of .5 pounds you are losing per day. I'd love to keep losing at .5 per day - it has definitely slowed down for me the closer I get to goal.Female - Age 30 - 6 feet tallStarting weight in June of 2005: 220 lbs size 14/16Did my own "diet" and it took me forever to lose.-Mid-Weight in June of 2006: 196 lbs size 12/14 Decided to get serious and start Atkins on July 15th.

Thanks for doing the maths, AtkidOriginally posted by AtkidThat is just about 7% of your beginning weight, I'd have to say its a great start!
Wow when you think that we consider losing 5-10% of the weight we want to lose in the first 14 days is good, losing 7% of your whole starting weight so quickly is outstanding

15 lbs!!! That is great......think about lugging around THREE 5 lb bags of sugar!
or....picture 60 sticks of margarine stuck to your body!!!!
For me....thinking about weight like that is more visual!
weigh to go!!!!!Female - back again for a lifetime.
