Re: Induction Flu
I think so - If you were out of Ketosis I'm sure you would. If you just "slipped a little" (if there is such a thing) I'm not sure if you would or not.
Hmmmm....good question.
Hope you feel better soon!

Re: Induction Flu
Maybe you could do a full confession and let us know what you ate? That may help. Otherwise I'm thinking there are all kinds of sick bugs going around - may just be that.

Re: Induction Flu
I don't think you need to start all over. Just get back on track, flush your system with water, take your vata nutrients and exercise. Just go forward and learn from what happened. It's O.K.!! You have done such a good job!

Re: Induction Flu
how soon do you need to flush your system? I mean do you drink a gallon of water after the mocha??
btw....your before and pictures are great!! I know 33 lbs is alot of weight but I never knew it would make such a difference in the face.
Congrats and good luck on your journey.

Re: Induction Flu
Yes, I had a decaf, sugar free, mocha after one month on Atkins and I was WIRED. I ended up with a huge headache and my co-workers wanted to kill me because I couldn't stop bouncing off the walls and everything was SO EXCITING!!! LOL!
Good job keeping away from the Churros.
Can I ask, have you started moving up the rungs? Maybe the reason you are having a difficult time is because you are getting bored with your food choices? I thought I would stay on extended induction for 6 months because I had such a large amount of weight to lose. However, some wise people here at ADBB encouraged me to start moving up the rungs and I am SOOOO glad I did.

Re: Induction Flu
Well that is my thoughts as well. I thought I heard/read somewhere to stay on induction until you are 25 llbs away from your goal weight (good lord, I'll be flying my car to work by then) and then move up.
I'm mostly okay with the food but what tripped me up a little was traveling for work...which isn't entirely true..I went out of town for work, but ended up meeting up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while, had some drinks one day then we all meet for Pho the next day.... I didn't really want them to know I was on a diet (I have issues I guess) so I drank the Pho, and ate about 1/4 to 1/3 of the noodles...
I really really want this (to lose weight and be healthier) although I have no idea what it feels like to be "average" size... it's a daily struggle...let's face it....I didn't wake up with this body overnight...it took years of "conditioning".

Re: Induction Flu
Thanks! I didn't think so either. (That photo is at 25 lbs.)I will be able to take another set soon. I have just 2 more lbs. and it'll be 35 lbs. Whoo Hoo!
Hopefully, we'll be seeing some of your before and durings soon!
My question is what is Pho?
If you want it you can do it. Heck, you ARE doing it. The first few weeks are the worst. I was just very serious about learning everthing I could at first and now that I know the basics, I'm not having to think of it so much, I'm just doing it. So...it will get easier and yes, if you want it bad enough you are going to do it. I can't wait to see some Thumper photos in the Before and After section!
As for flushing out your system. We do that everyday anyway with the water but drink even more if you've gone off plan or are not feeling well. And I would say, yes start drinking right away after you've had something. (IF this happens)

Re: Induction Flu
Oh....I had never heard of it - Always wanted to try Thai - there is a supposedly a wonderful resturant around here, just never made it. (I'm a little on the boring side as far as what I'll actually try)
Might not hurt to read it again. I carried the thing with me for 2 months. Even made sure my purse had room for it and a notebook to write my menus and any notes down.
Can't wait to see those photos - you'll have to post at least one before you burn them! LOL!
