  • This is week 4 for me, whats wrong?

    Hi i am new at this and have been doing atkins induction for nearly four weeks. The first two weeks i lost 5.6 kilos so i think that is about maybe 10 pounds, week 3 i lost nothing, not even 100 grams. It is week four for me on monday and i am worried that i will not have drop any weight. I have read his books cover to cover, and taken the supplements, and NOT cheated, not even one bite.

    Does anyone have any ideas or is this normal.

    I am 27 weight 97.7 kilos no idea what that is in pounds.

    how many calories are you eating and are you following the 30/65/5 rule?

      no idea about calories. what is that rule never heard it? just eating meat chicken eggs salad and vege not big amounts but not hungery and never go over 20 grams of carbs a day. dont know what i am doing wrong. but have been reading that many people have had quite slow weight loss on this.......

        There was a sticky somewhere about 'post induction stall" - anyone know where to find this?

        It could just be your body catching up. But if you are really concerned you could post your menus in the menu forum for advice.

          Hello,

          Firstly, do not panic! There are lot's of reasons for a slow down or halt to weight loss.

          Have a look through this post http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6735

          and consider whether any of it applies to you. If not, definately as Zencyn said, post your menu for review, have a look at what you are eating on fitday www.fitday.com and make sure your percentages of fat, protein and carbs are right.

          If everything seem ok, just keep on doing it and your body will likely work out whatever weirdness it's having and get on with losing weight.

          Also it is worth taking your measurements too - as you may be changing your body composition (more muscle less fat) which can make the scales not act as we'd like.

            Hi there,

            Are you working out at all? Even a modest 15 minute walk a day is extremely beneficial. Also, drink a ton of water. Dr. A says at least 64 oz/day, but I triple or even quadruple that...lots of trips to the bathroom though.
