  • Stalled for two weeks!!! Should I up my carbs?

I have been stuck at 151 for two weeks now. I am on extended induction and have been trying to get 25 carbs per day. I haven't been able to get those in though. It's been more around 20 carbs. I think I've read some places that people actually had success by increasing thier carbs and I'm thinking I should trry this, but I am scared. I have been drinking drinks sweetened with stevia instead of the usual aspertame and I have had maybe a max of 3 atkins bars in the last two weeks. Other than that, i think I have been pretty good about following the diet by the book.

P.S. I just took my measurements and have lost about an inch in hips, bust, and waist. All I can think about is that I'm measuring in the wrong place.

It looks to me like you are doing great! Congratulations on your success so far!
What you are going through is totally normal for Atkins. The body has dumped a tremendous amount of weight in induction, and sometimes needs to take a little breather before it continues losing. I'm just finishing up my 8th week, and sometimes I go several weeks without losing much, then will dump 2-3 pounds.
I'd move into owl if I were you, more veggies never hurt anybody.

I second Lamby's advice! Move to OWL! This often causes a "jump-start" in weightloss for people--it worked for me! And this will help you consume more carbs on a regular basis.

Kudos to you for keeping measurements. In times where you don't lose "pounds" you'll often lose inches. As long as you're losing inches, this means you're burning fat and the plan is working!
