  • Getting discouraged!

I am on day 16 and im getting a little discouraged. I have lost 7lbs and the scale is no longer moving. I lost 6 the first week and 1 in the second week. I keep thinking well I really don't have a whole lot to lose so maybe it will just be a VERY slow process. My husband has lost 13 I know men lose faster but its frustrating because I know he has made a few cheats and I have not I have followed exactly I even gave up my coffee. UGH I don't want to give up I really do enjoy this WOE. I really could use some encouragement right now or maybe a dose of reality! LOL
    Thank You for listening!!

    Re: Getting discouraged!

During induction, you lost 7 pounds. According to your ticker, you have 39 pounds total to lose. On induction you're supposed to lose between 5-10% of the total weight you want to lose. 7 pounds is almost 18%!!! That's darn good!

You know you shouldn't compare yourself to your husband (or anyone else, for that matter) so don't even torture yourself! Your progress will be INDIVIDUAL because you are an individual.

Atkins is not just about losing weight. It's about changing our view of food, eating healthy things, incorporating exercise, learning to feed hunger and not boredom, and numerous other things. ATKINS is MORE than a number, and you should focus on things that are improving for you. Do you have more energy? Do you feel healthier? Did you destroy cravings? Do you know the difference between hunger and boredom? These are all things that are found by following Atkins. The weight loss is just a bonus!

So congrats on the 7 pounds! And good for you for not cheating. You're on your way to having a solid foundation! Keep it up.
