Noooooooooooooooooo!!! Drop the bar and run far, far away!!!! lol Seriously, tho, you can only eat foods that are on the induction list and if you look at the ingredients in the bar you will see that there are things listed that aren't allowed. The other thing is that those bars can cause cravings, stalls, binges.....I am speaking from personal experience and from what I've read from others. There is really no good reason why you should eat them, but that's just my opinion.

Drop the bar. Stand back, it's gonna blow!!!!!

Good Advice Lady.....I concur. I've only used those bars on maybe 1 or 2 occasions, when I was absolutely starving.....nothing around to eat, in a store, don't want sugar infected beef jerky, etc......it was only as an emergency. I understand that they do cause stalls in a lot of people, and you get addicted to eating them too.....

      Drop the bar!

        Re: Atkins bars

This time around, I'm convinced, to stay away from the bars. I started out with them this week, but have read and heard experience from others that they're not good for me.

As I look back, I wonder even with a little bit of success on Atkins in the past, if it was the bars that sabotaged my efforts. I'm hoping to break the desire for the bars completely.

Ditto what the others have said. The bars stall so many. Also.. mostly the ingredients are not induction friendly.
Atkins Nutritionals is out for your dollars rather than your health. Dr A advised them only for real emergencies.

          Better safe than sorry.

              Good for you
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

"Atkins Nutritionals" says the bars are ok for Induction...Dr. Atkins never said that! As far as them only being 2 or 3 net carbs...they deduct for the glycerin they put in them. Avoid these if at all possible!

Stay away of the bars! The others are 100% right - of course, some of them are real proffs...

To be serious, I had one of those once when I had cravings under induction (I am still on it) and it became a mess. Even if it is artificial sweetener in it, it made my blood sugar going crazy at once. I don't know why, maybe because the bars are really tasting VERY sweet compared to the sweetness of almonds or fruits (of course you may not have fruits aswell!) or if I am just one unlucky person with a hysteric body concerning the insulin... Who knows. Anyhow I was cheating with more than the bar that day and it took me two days to go back to Atkins induction. I totally lost controll... And believe me, I felt like s***, both, mentally AND physically. You don't want this, do you?

As you wrote, you don't crave sweet stuff no more after a while, so just be happy about it and avoid the sweet stuff for good.

                      Happy Easter!
