  • Do vegetables help with the weight loss?

I ask because I haven't been the most loyal to eating my veggies, and was wondering if it might be affecting my weight loss.

    Starting Weight: 307-310
    Current Weight: 220
Short Term Goal Weight: 225 by May 1st (met)
Long Term Goal: 215 pounds by June 12th (almost there!)

Most definately! You need the fiber and nutrients! 3 cups of veggies (if on induction) is absolutely mandatory. No deviation.

Yep, like Scooterjam said, you really need the 3 cups on induction and then it up in order to get your nutrients and to keep things moving - for fibre. Not eating the veg could mean your're missing out.

It is worth looking at the book - the relevant sector for the stage you're on to remind yourself of the need for balance. If you don't like veg it is worth looking at the recipe section of this site to see ways to make them nice in a way you like. http://www.lowcarbrecipes.org/

Also, the list of veg allowed on induction is very long - so try so new ones to find some you like. See the list here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6781

I'm not entirely sure, but I imagine not eating the veg could cause a problem with weightloss - as you may not be eating enough and causing your body to go into starvation mode and cling stubbornly to fat.
