  • finished week 3..and a question or two...

well, i am still here....i just finished week 3 and i thought i would go to OWL last week, but i had some major things go on and messed up my diet by not eating for 3 days, so i stayed at induction...i guess it could be worse as i could have eaten hordes of regular food or something, but i didnt, just stopped my metabolism..i only lost 2 pounds, and i know i could have lost more...i also lost another 6 1/4 inches overall, so at my 3 weeks in total, i have lost 19 pounds, 27 1/2 inches overall, and 2 sizes (53 pounds to go)....i did have some wine last night, but i do not feel guilty as i could have had potatoes and sweet glazed ham, chocolate and cake...it did feel odd to go to a holiday dinner and bring my own food...it was hard because everyone thinks you can have just one bite, or cheat just one day, but you cant, and people dont understand that...but i did it and survived..

on another note.....does anyone else get angry when their spouse gets to eat regular food? i find i am sometimes resentful he was blessed with a perfect, fabulous physique (asians..hmpf..)...and one last thing...i am finding i am loosing my breasts..i have always been large chested, even when i was thin, and loosing my breast size is bothering me...anyone?

First...if it's any consolation... the worst is behind you! Yay!!!

You're right, the wine is not nearly as bad as the other choices you could have made. I used to do the glass of wine thing, but - for complicated reasons - simply don't anymore. I *do* however- cheat with my cup of decaf (with heavy cream-mmmm) every morning.

Staying on induction is not a bad thing. There are people who have been on induction for months!! The nice thing about going to OWL is that you get more choices.

Staying strong when you're around unsupportive/confused family is the hardest thing. Sounds like you did the smart thing, in bringing your own food.

My spouse is on the same diet as me, so that's kind of helpful... but the boys are not. I make meat/veggie for the whole family, and then make a starch for the boys to add to their meal. It's normal to get frustrated at other people (ESPECIALLY around TOM!!), but for you..... you get to enjoy his rather perfect, fabulous physique!! Sounds like a pretty good trade off, if you ask me!

I'm clipping steadily along with the diet.... my breasts have lost more than my waist and hips COMBINED!! What you need to keep an eye on is the difference between your rib size and your breast measurement (the actual cup size), instead of just the breast measurement. You'll be losing back fat, and that will reflect as a decrease in the breast measurement... when in fact, the boobs are about the same 'size', just the back is smaller. Make sense?

But...alas... you may find that you DO lose some fat from the breast itself. You shouldn't lose breast tissue, just the fat deposits that may have put themselves there.

It sounds like you're doing a WONDERFUL job on your new WOE. Congrats on the weight loss and inches lost!!

thanks....and i get what you are saying about the breast size, but they really have gotten smaller...a lot smaller...like 2 cup sizes smaller already, and they are not full at all....i knew i would loose some of them, but i am petrified i will end up in a c cup or something, and that would just make me feel horrible..i have been a ddd since i was about 13, and i am 33 now....in the end it is all worth it, but i just have to get to that point i guess....thanks for the response...

MY DH is also blessed with a great metabolism. He lives on pizza and corn chips, and is thin and muscular. Me being short and plump, I always felt like I didn't deserve to be with him. (btw, that is all my sick mind, he treats me wonderfully no matter how much I weigh.)
I cannot expect him to change his eating habits because of me. That would be unfair. So we continue to have lots of junk in the house, I've accepted that it is my responsibility to not eat it. Period.
My breasts have also shunk! My DH commented on how small they've gotten, and I told him he'd better get used to them, as they are here to stay.
I don't mind it at all. I'd rather have smaller, nicely shaped ones, than big sloppy saggy porn boobs, anyway.
        Stats:
        Age: 41
        Sex: F
        Height: 5'2"
        Highest weight ever: 170+
        Goal: 114
