  • 20 pounds gone...phew

i FINALLY lost 20 pounds...i am so excited....i really screwed up by not eating for 3 days due to stress, so i didnt meet my goal on saturday, but did today..i am proud of myself...i am treating myself to micro dermabrasion for reaching my goal..i really like the way i look already, and it makes all the tough days better to me now....

i think i found a trick, that probably everyone else already knows..i started using turnips for potatoes, and if i have another veggie with it, it tricks my mind into thinking i am having the carbs..i love it...cause there is just no way bread or sugar or potatoes are going to pass through this mouth, i cant even bring myself to come close to doing it...

wheres julie and snuggles? you guys have really stayed in my mind and helped me, though you dont know it...i couldnt wait to tell you guys...thanks..

Congrats on the 20 pounds! That is a great accomplishment. Hopefully you're eating now and I don't have to beat you with a wet noodle.

Good trick, using the turnips as your "potato". My potato of choice is cauliflower, though I made an EXCELLENT recipe using celeraic and turnips. I made an au gratin dish that was awesome.

Way to go, SP, I look forward to hearing more good things!

no wet noodles needed, i am back on track for now...i am having he damndest time eating breakfast though..it is like a hurdle i cant get over..i cant get out of the mindset that if i dont eat, i wont gain..it is a struggle, but i am doing ot, one day at a time...

everyday i am in awe of the changes i am seeing...i feel lucky i found his diet and am learning so much..i cant help but to think what it would be like if everyone knew the information we do on atkins..i cant help but think of how early i would have died without learning and implementing all i am now..again, i feel like i am very lucky...

How exciting for me to come to my computer on a yucky Monday morning and read this. CONGRATS CONGRATS CONGRATS. That is amazing. I've very proud of your success and you for sticking to this diet and finding ways to get through the toughest of times. It's also great that you are treating yourself with something good for you rather than with food (which our culture does so much of). What's the next goal?

the next goal is 185, then 170.......i think i can do it...i am glad you are on..i was wondering where you were and how you were doing, and was going to send you an email or something today......i felt your past pain this weekend when my motherinlaw tried to sabotage me by buying me all this candy, even though she knew i couldnt..i sent it to work with my husband..made me think of when you got your treats, and how hard it was, so i just got rid of it so i didnt have to feel all that...i have been thinking about you...as for my "treats" for loosing weight, i am playing with getting my hands done, and not just my face..i will let you know...

            Re: 20 pounds gone...phew

Things have been tough on this end. My fiance and I had been on induction for a month and we both only lost about 4 lbs. That just didn't seem like very much to me when I have 40 to lose, even though it's well within the guidelines of losing 5-10% during induction. We are going on a cruise starting friday and have decided to go off the diet for the cruise. We want to be able to have the little umbrella drinks and yummy food that cruises are known for. We are 100% dedicated to getting right back on track when we get home though. We went to the store yesterday to buy cereal and we spent 20 minutes debating on which one to bring home because they all have so much SUGAR? We ended up bringing home a high fiber, high protein, no taste but healthy cereal. So if nothing else, starting the diet (even if we're going off it for a week) is changing the way we look at the foods that we're consuming.

I hope to be a success story like you when we get back!

i have said it to you 34925750845740578 times...you have to do what works for you..maybe when you get back and arent under such a timeline for the loss, it will be easier..cereal is a tough one, i stay away from it for sure...geesh, i cant even bring myself to come off induction, and i know i should...lol.....i am sure juli will take care of that thought soon enough... i am not that much of a success story, believe me..i see others loose way more than me, but i look at how much i have to loose total, and dont let it get to me...easier said than done a lot of the time though..it is also a lot easier to do when you arent doing it for a reason, just for you..maybe without the added pressure of doing it for vacation, you can find more comfort in it..it is a big change, a huge lifestyle change, and it really reminds me of coming off drugs..once you hit bottom with your weight and way of eating, it will be time..and only you know when that happens, noone else..i hope you have fun on the cruise and dont go to nuts with the great food, so it isnt so hard when you get back on track when you come back....you can do it, and will, when the time is right for YOU...

                xx
