  • Love this WOE

I started back on induction on 3/26/07 and was at 148 pounds (I'm 5'6, 26 y/o). I had been drinking too much and eating crap foods. I convinced my DH to go do this WOE with me this time. (He sabotaged me last time!) He agreed cause he had gained 15 pounds over the holidays. I have weighed myself once during thise time and that was last week. I had lost 6 pounds!!! Woohoo! I'm happy with that. Don't mind the slow loss. My DH started off at 192 pounds (5'10, 30 y/o) and weighed himself almost everyday. The lowest weight he got to was 181, but now he is at 185 and he wants to quit because "the diet is not working." I convinced him to stay on extended induction and to work out with me each day. So we are sticking to it together! I wanted to also say that this WOE has helped me and my husband to cut back our drinking drastically. We both went from drinking wine, spirits, or beer (DH only) every other day, to nearly nothing! I did splurge on Easter and had one glass of red wine at dinner, and he has had one vodka diet on his friend's birthday, and that was it! We feel so much better!
Oh, and this WOE has really sparked my loved of cooking. I cook everyday! I actually prefer to cook rather than go out to eat. I'm never bored of the food, and this board has really helped me to be creative and to keep going!

    Thanks everybody!

Hiya Conqueso! Nice that you're enthusiastic about Atkins! And it's great that you're encouraging your DH to stick with this way of eating. You'll both reap great benefits health and weight-wise!
