  • up one pound *sigh*

I'm trying to stay focused and positive...however today was my weekly weigh in and I'm up one pound.
I was away on a business trip for the last 3 days and did very well I thought...followed the program all the way. I know I'm somewhat constipated and perhaps that is it...I finally had a minute muffin for breakfast this morning and hopefully that will help me out.
I'm in week 5 of induction and have gotten rid of 17 pds until this morning where I'm at 16 pds gone and on my trip wasn't able to eat all my carbs as I was...I'm eating 20 carbs a day with 12 to 15 coming from vegies.
I took my measurements however it's so hard doing it by myself. I don't have a partner that can help and sometimes they don't seem acurate.
Looking for some encouragement to simply hang in there.....
    Have a great Thursday everyone.
    Sue
One day at at time...today I will do what I need to do to reach my goal.

Sue... Do NOT let that 1lb get to you.. I came back Monday from a weekend away..Did everything I was suppose to do and freaked out when I got on the scales monday.. I was up 6lbs! I was so upset I wanted a whole chocolate cake.. But of course I didn't touch one.. I am down 4 of those pounds already. I think when we have to eat out like that we get lots of extra salt and its more water on you. And I agree..sometimes when you are away you don't get to use the bathroom like you would at home.. I know that I don't. So hang in there..that lb will be off in no time...

Yes, weight loss is not linear. You will experience some ups and downs. Frequently while I was losing, I'd be down, down, up, then down. It has a lot to do with water retention, and other factors. Don't let it get to you. Just keep on going and you'll be successful over the long haul!

        Hi Sue,
        Don't be disheartened.
I too was up 1lb this week.
Being away from home has probably thrown you out of your routine.

Try not to worry......get sluggin that water down and I'm sure you'll just pee that 1lb away! Might even take a few of it's buddies with it!

Drink lots and lots of water.
Here's a link to Moochie's piece that talks about weight loss not being linear:

Sandy, higgies, wheres my feet and Sally....Thank you for responding.
I couldn't help but get on the scale again this morning and still have that 1 pd there....
soooooo...not getting on till next Thursday...weigh in day.
I've read some threads and realize that this seems normal so I'm not going to freak out about it anymore...just going to keep with this WOE and go with the flow.

Thanks again for your encouragement...I appreciate it.
            Happy Friday everyone!
