  • Need help with this one!!

    Okay today I was really busy at work so I couldn't go out to lunch like I had planned. I only had two cheese hotdogs this morning and at lunch I had a turkey sandwich (Rev. Roll) with some mayo and two slices of swiss cheese. I didn't have any veggies like I had planned on getting at lunch, so my question is,,,,,I am going to chilis tonight for dinner and I am not sure if I should eat all of my veggies then or should I only eat a portion of them since I couldn't get them in at all today?

    All help is appreciated.

    ps. I usually am always prepared for the week, just so happens today didn't pan out the way I had wanted it too.

    What were you thinking of having for the veggies? Although not ideal to have all your veggies in one meal, I *have* done it before myself.

    If you are going to have a chili's salad, just the romaine alone in that big ole honker is MORE than induction levels for the whole day anyway. That much romaine lettuce, however, is very low in carbohydrate (and anything else for that matter) and probably won't spike your blood sugar. That's the concern about eating all veggies at one time. For instance, you probably wouldn't want to eat 2 cups of jicama and one cup of brussel sprouts in that one sitting because that's a *LOT* of carbohydrates at one time that *might* shock your system a little bit. Then again, it might not. Lettuce definitely wouldn't.

      But, then again...if you were to order a salad, and eat 2 cups worth of lettuce (Save the rest for lunch tomorrow), you *could* technically have the one cup of steamed broccoli too. Just be *aware* of the portions.

        OMG that is so weird. I was just going to reply and say that I was going to get a side salad and only eat 2 cups worth and then also have the steamed brocoli with my steak. Thats great, that is what I am going to do then, thanks again for your help.
