  • Doubters!!

    Why is it that whenever I tell someone that I am doing Atkins that they all say that I will get ill 'eating all that meat' and will have really bad cholesterol, my workmates are the worst!

    So, last week, every lunch break I showed them what I was eating - fish or chicken salad every lunch time!, different fish each day to keep it interesting and different salads - just none of the bread or baked potatoes with it - as they are always moaning about wanting to lose those extra lbs they are starting to copy me! just by leaving out those high carb foods they too are losing the weight and learning that Atkins will work for me!
    the best thing is - they are still snacking on sweet stuff dring the day and seemt to think that I have this amazing will power by not eating that stuff - truth is - I am not hungry, (yeah okay had minor slip up yesterday) and will tend to grab a bottle of water instead of cake or biscuits.

    This is the first time I have been on a 'diet' and been able to resist the bad foods! - which is good as where I work we can eat what we like for free! and we have a bakery!

    Goal weight :160lbs by Summer Holiday (April/june 08 .LOL)

    That is too cute. They dont know that your sugar cravings stop after a few days.. they think you are a super hero of some sorts ! My mom worries about me the same way. She tries her best to get me to eat carbs. I tell her what I can eat..she tries to throw a bake potatoe with it.
    Or worse home made pasta salad. She is getting better as she sees this is what makes me happy. I wished I had her body frame, she is 110 pounds... Ive never seen her even pudgy. lol

      I know what you mean. When I told some friends I was doing Atkins they all said it's bad for you it does not work. I did what I should and in the 2 weeks I lost 12 pounds. I have a hard time cause my hubby eats chips and sweet stuff it's hard but we all here know you can do it. Just stay strong hun.
