  • Induction Report- 5 weeks down

    I have been doing the induction phase for 5 weeks solid...with the exception of my Michelob Ultras on Fridays and couldn't be happier. Im down 27 lbs and the weight seems to continue to drop at about 3-4 lbs a week. I started at 240 (Im 6 ft tall) and Im down to 213. My goal was 200..but I may try and be a bit more agressive.

    Loving it.

    Tony, thats incredible news. 27lbs is a huge amount of weight to loose. I bet lots of your friends are noticing the difference in you already.

    You mentioned Michelob Ultras - how many carbs do they have? DBF has just started atkins, which is great, as we can share this woe, but he is seriously concerned about his regular wednesday night with the boys - he's not a big drinker but enjoys 3 or 4 bottles once a week. I'd love to tell him he can incorporate a couple of beers into his diet!

        according to the Michelob website ultra has 2.6g and the ultra amber has 3.7g of carbs.

        There is also a website that you can try which has, among other things, a comparison chart of different beers and their carb contents.

        from the home page go to food and drink then follow the link for low carb

          Tony that ROCKS!!! I rarely drink but on occasion I do like a beer and even when I wasn't doing Atkins I drink Michelob Ultras - they are good! I will be having a few to celebrate once I get to the end of my journey!

            WOW!!! 27 pounds!!! You ARE the MAN!!! I can't wait to see where I'm at next week let alone in 5 weeks. That's so great!!

              That is awesome. We have a bar with beer taps and all in our home and I know my DH misses those few beers on a Saturday.
              lol We will have to replace a keg with something more carb friendly I see.
