  • Back on track..

Well I have been having a hard time staying on track, I start off my day really good then by the end of it I’ve grabbed some thing to eat I should NOT have or drink like diet coke. I was silly over the weekend and went to a party with out eating first so I ended up cheating while there with all the yummy foods around in front of me and being hungry. I totally set myself up to fail there. I was so mad at myself.

Anyway yesterday was my first day back on track with NO CHEATING. I figure just take it a day at a time and get these cravings out of the way by day 3 or 4 I hope. I really want to do this and I feel so good when I do eat right. It’s almost like I’m out to sabotage myself or some thing. I was doing so well and losing weight and inches.

Anyway I’m putting each day I’m cheat free in my signature to keep me honest. I WILL do it this time.. Any advice from anyone that has had these issues of “falling off the wagon”??

    Re: Back on track..

    Hi

Good Luck! I have always found that to succeed at something like this you have to have the right positive mental attitude (PMA) and sometimes it takes a while to get it.

It is really hard - I know, but keep telling myself that it will get easier! Not sure if I am craving nocotine or sugar!

Take care - and well done - day one done!

Thanks for your response... Im normally really good at being in the right frame of mind to stick with what ever I want to do in all areas of my life. Ive done well for myself in life and in dieting. But right now I dont know what my issue is, Im just having a hard time. I do have allot of stress going on and am known to be an emotional eater so I think that might be some of it.

You said it yourself in your first post, eat before parties!! thats my biggest fall down!! it doesnt hafta be anything huge, just enough to get you through.

Oh and, drink more water over these next few days, help flush some of those bad foods out!

Least you are being honest with yourself. I think its great that you were able to jump back on track. I tell anyone that this lifestyle can be difficult. Its nice to be able to eat when your hungry..finding something you can eat when you are away from home is another story. Im an emotional eater too, I eat when Im happy. UGh. I wished it was the other way around sometimes.
:hugs: It be okay, like you said the cravings will be gone soon!
