But the thing is the food was a lot better in my mind..I took a bunch of different stuff and could barely eat half of it, and it didn't taste half as good as I thought it would. Hopefully my weight doesn't penalize me too badly for it, but I think I can go for another long while without cheating.

I'm glad that the food didn't taste good to you. Our tastes certainly do change after being on this WOE for a while. The thing is, that I know from experience that if you eat it a few more times, it will start tasting good again. As you can tell from my siggie information, I had been successful with Atkins the first time around and reverted to my old ways again. I had to have some unexpected, wicked surgery that kept me down for a while. I couldn't cook, and for a while I relied on others providing for me. Of course, the food they provided wasn't Atkins friendly, and at first I didn't like it... but as time went on, I was hooked again. It reminds of when I was 18 and started to smoke cigarettes for some stupid reason. At first, I felt sick when I smoked. Then I started to depend upon it and smoked for 16 years before I finally gave it up 14 years ago. To a lot of us, sugar is as addictive as tobacco. I guess my point is... take your experience with this cheat as a lesson. Please try not to do it again, because it is soooo easy to go back to carbs. You are incredibly close to goal. You have done an amazing job so far... don't waste all of that effort. I admire your determination and just know that you are going to be fine. Thanks for sharing your story.

You have done SO well, look at all that weight you've lost!! I will remember your post when I'm tempted to cheat, that it's just not worth it. Already I think that if I was to eat a sugary dessert it would be way too sweet, as I have severely limited any desserts so I'm not used to anything sweet really.
Get right back on, and drink lots of water. The first time I was successful on Atkins if I cheated I just was REALLY good (ate nothing that wouldn't be allowed on Induction) and drank LOTS of water the next couple of days and any weight gain was either lost or totally averted.SLIM IN 6!
