  • Statistics?

I would like to animate myself and other beginners by collecting some statistic:

a.) how long did you stay on Induction (+extended Induction)?
b.) your lost during that time?
c.) do you think you could have done anything differently???

thanks,I hope answers will help us.....I mean I'm sure they will.

    Re: Statistics?

    Hi Beba,

Looking through my old Atkins notebook (where I recorded what I ate) I was on induction for 2 months. I lost about 21lbs in that time. However I cheated twice for two weeks since then and have been back on induction for each time afterwards for about 2 weeks.

If I did it again I would:
    Take before photos
    Take before measurements
Record weight and measurements methodically, not randomly like I did!
    Not cheat!

    Hope that helps

      Hello

      a) Stayed on induction for 2 weeks.

      b) Lost 7 pounds. (Had 47 to lose)

      c) I am a second timer, and the first time I did Atkins, I weighed every day. This time around, I only weigh on Sunday mornings (I started on a Sunday). I am much more sane weighing once a week! Also, I would have started using Fitday to track my foods early on. I have been doing Atkins since Feb. 28, but only started using Fitday in mid-April. I resisted it until then because it is sort of a pain at first. (it gets better, though!) When I started using it, I found that my carbs were lower than I thought and I could have increased my carbs much more than I *thought* I had. That knowledge, plus participating in the Veggie Challenge, led me to increase my veggies and thus my carbs, resulting in a jump-start in weight loss which had slowed since induction. Do not be afraid of OWL! Something else I did different the second time around which is helping is making myself taste things I thought I didn't like. I didn't do that the first time around, which makes for a limited menu. I stayed on the veggie rung for about 2 months and I now eat tons of vegetables that I would have turned my nose up at before. Eating from more varied foods and using Fitday makes me feel much more in control now. And, of course, this board has been instrumental in my success. There is always support, information, and a shoulder to lean on here. Post often... it will change your life!

Best wishes to you on your weight loss journey.
