  • setback!!!!

    well today is my 17th day on atkins and no weight loss since the end of my induction probably due to my excessive drinking of diet cokes over the past week and all of the whipping cream i have been making stuff out of while i was sick from my wisdom teeth being pulled...but today i went over my carb limit by like 6 or 7 carbs and it wasn't from veggies either!!! it was from like mayo and splenda and cocoa and all of that crap!!! i am freaking out right now...i know it will pass but man..i know this will cause me to stall or even gain even more!!!!!!!!! really frustrated..

    Start date: May 28th
    SW: 175 GW: 140 CHeight: 5'7 CHips: 42 CThighs: 25
    June 11th: goal =169 MET GOAL, JUNE 3RD (16
    June 25th: goal=165 MET GOAL JUNE 10TH!!
    July 2nd: goal=160
    July 16th: goal=155
    July 30th: goal=150
    August 13th: goal= 145 and 15 inches lost
    August 30th: PT test/Weigh in for the Naval Academy!!!
    Inches lost since May 28th: 2.5 Thighs, 1 hips, 2 waist

    I want to share one of my affirmations that I have been using for the I AM WORTH IT Challenge that I am currently in.

    ~ No one can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

    Don't dwell on what was done during the last week. Today is the day to start making a new ending. You know what you need to do. You've identified the problem. If you can get a squeeky clean 2 week induction under your belt, you can immediately move on to OWL and start adding some great food in.

    Losing the diet cokes will be hard, but it is for the best. Best wishes.

      I was on atkins last year in the early fall and lost about 30 pounds. I obviously gained it back...but I know this is the right diet for me as it works very good. So I am back!

        hey alaska, i need to give up the diet sodas too...i just don't want to!! but, i am wondering if they trigger my sugar addiction. so, i am going to give them up and see how i do. i'm stalling weight loss wise too...can't quite seem to permanently give up the 180's...

          alaska, come ON now, we are doing this TOGETHER!! you can do it. if you absolutely CANNOT kick the DC habit, at least cut back to one a day. go back to induction x 3 days, and then move on sistah!
          i also have not lost since induction, where i only lost 4 pounds, but just remember, a MONTH from now you WILL be down, if you stick with it. one day of going over by 6-7 carbs is no biggie. forgive, and forget.
