Re: New scale shows I weight 15lbs heavier

Yea you guys are right. My new scale actually has me weighing less than at home. Oh well at least I know my scale will be accurate.

Or you could do what I did. Went to Bed Bath and Beyond, removed my purse, shoes, watch etc, and stood on every single one of them in the store. I even opened boxes that were openable! They were all higher so I never did get a new one!

The scale is evil no matter how you look at it! Don't sweat it! Now you have a good point of reference!

We have a scale at home. Paid 40 bucks when we started this WOE for it. Thought we had a good scale. Lets see it reads a few pounds different every few minutes. I discovered today playing with it. It weighs by 10 pound weights at 10.6 on my tile and carpet. However, it weighs me at 175 on the carpet and 183 on the tile. I tried a scale at Publix and Walmart and got a reading of 180. I went with the other scales, but part of me would like to use the 175 lol

I had the same problem, and was also very upset. What I did was calculate the difference and that's what I have been going by. It really sucks because I realized that I was heavier than I thought I was.

Me too - I have altered my start weight this year because of discovering my old scales were consistently 10 pounds below the doctor's scale as well as my new scale.
So I still lost 140 pounds - just not quite half my body weight yet as I had thought. (I thought I had started at 280!)
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
