  • Having a bad day & starting EI phase

    Today I'm starting with the Extended Induction. During the first 2 weeks I have lost 5.2 kg which is about 11 lbs. I guess that's pretty good.

    I should really be feeling great and exciting, but I'm having such a bad day. I'm really grumpy / moody and it's very though to resist all the temptations (chocolate and croissants) that are laying around in the office kitchen.

    Chocolate has always been my down fall. I'm actually quite proud of myself to have not eaten any chocolate in the past 2 weeks. It used to be my most favorite "comfort" food .... from your lips to your hips.

    Sigh..... What do you do when you have a bad day. Any tips and tricks?

      Just keep imagining yourself at goal! you dont need chocolate! you've done SO well! don't spoil it all now!

        When I'm having a bad day (yesterday!), I post it in my journal here on the board! It helps to put those feelings into words. Plus, you're likely to receive some wonderful advice and encouragement.

        Surely if you look around the recipe forums, you can find something that will appease those cravings for chocolate. Just make sure that you are at the point where you can indulge in moderation.

          Journaling is the perfect advice (Paula). I go there when I feel icky and the support I get encourages me to stick with it. Try it!

            Thanks for the advice Ladies. I'm so glad I resisted all the temptations. I really gotta keep the goal in mind at all times.

              SwissMiss............Hi!

              I started EI today also. Sorry to hear you're having one of those days. Oooooo....and the chocolate cravings.......man, they can be strong, can't they? Can we have any cocoa powder with cream and splenda on EI? I'm not sure........maybe someone could answer. Are there any choc. sodas out there that are good and maybe add a tbl. of heavy cream to that?

              I haven't needed chocolate yet but I'm sure I will soon.

              Just keep it going.......11lbs. That is awesome! 11 pounds gone forever!
