  • Ok I Guess I Cheated But Is This Legal?

Ok so I am one of the few that tried to keep coffee and an occasional glass of wine in my diet. Guess what? Yup you got it I stalled. Im pretty sure that it was the new addition of wine because I kept coffee (sweetened with 1 serving of slenda) the whole time. Well last week I decided losing weight is more important so I cut out both. Those would be the only cheat things I have done in 2 months. Well I did start to lose again but im struggling in the morning without the coffee. I have to admit I need something.
I found a green tea at walgreens that is zero carbs and sweetened with splenda. If I limit my self to 1 glass each morning would this be legal?
Honestly I did have a glass yesterday morning and I did still lose over night but im worried about the long term.
    What do you think?

Yes the green tea would be fine, with splenda. Just remember to count it towards your daily sweetner allowance (three servings).

I found that when I introduced wine, it instantly halted my weight loss. I didn't gain, but didn't lose either. So I stopped it and only re-introduced a glass in the evenings at goal.

I have found that green tea often gives me more energy than coffee....so you may be pleasantly surprised.

green tea had caffiene which is the only reason you guys are cutting out coffee...rememeber? for the purposes of 'weight loss' under this no-caffiene logic, you need to drink decaf green tea - which tastes like crap - i have some.

If you drink a coffee in the mornings with a high fat meal - it wont matter too much as you will be slowly processing the heavy proteins and fats rather than instigating a blood sugar spike.

That all said: im not having caffiene - i use to and it didnt effect weight loss but im trying to speed it up a bit so seeing if this helps - i cant tell the difference but it cant hurt.

I vomited and had headaches for 4 days after i cut caffiene, then i was fine. Good luck.

Cutting back to green tea is admirable. There is not NEARLY as much caffeine in green tea as ther is in coffee but it just may be the perk you need at this time. I wouldn't feel guilty over it as the antioxidants it contains far outweigh any 'damages' of it's caffeine content.
