Some people are able to use these protein shakes as part of their induction menus, but many also report that they experience stalls when using them. It is a YMMV (your mileage may vary) thing.
If you do decide to use them just make sure you add fat as they might make your protein intake too high, and Dr Atkins did warn us that overconsumption of protein could lead to that 'spare' protein that your body doesnt use will be turned into glucose!!
excess protein converts to glucose and can keep fat from becoming the primary fuel.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
if you are still on extended induction, why dont you move to OWL?
You can have yogurt very soon (if it doesnt stall you) and that with some sugar free sauce or syrup and a little sweetener is quick and easy too.
Has been my breakfast of choice before I got to the nut rung and could eat a special kind of break I'm making.
Date to reach goal: I don't care, as long as it happens :P
Or rather than risk the problems associated with the shakes, how about.....
Make hard boiled eggs ahead of time, peel and throw in a baggy for the morning... Make deviled eggs and grab a few... Crustless quiche, precut in baggies for grab and run... 1 minute flax muffin made the night before ....
If you're prepared it can be just as fast to avoid the shakes

Ya, I made the awesome breakfast quiche's I found on Linda's low carb site. Cut them, stuck them in little ziploc's and then into the freezer they went. I take them out two at a time and put them in the freezer to thaw for the next couple of days. They are yummy, you should try them. Personally I wouldnt do the shakes because there are so many other options.
I had surgery in March and I have to have powered protein drinks from my doctor.
They have 1.5 net carbs per scoop with 23g of protein.
So it works for me. But there is no powered drinks on Induction.
