  • Extended Induction here I come...

Wellllllllll, I have decided to extend my induction....evidentally I knocked myself out of ketosis...pork rinds perhaps??? That's all I can think of...havent had anything else off the plan...and not overdoing the 20 mg carbs if I am even reaching that....not weighing right now but being out of ketosis threw me and I didnt like the way I have been using this as a happy mentality..it feels good knowing when I am in ketosis but havoc in my mind when not...

anyone else have a mind game going on?

I need to relax and just continue what I am doing and not worry for now....

This is why I won't use the sticks. I have enough mind games going on The scale and the measuring tape is all I need to know I'm losing.

I am SO BUMMED! I just got off "TOM" and weighed today..I am the same I was pre TOM...

The stick didnt turn yesterday when I tried it...
I have been using the splenda sweetened creamer in coffee and have had crystal light and soda over the weekend when we went camping..

        steak and artichoke
        tuna , mayo and egg
        romaine
        butter
boars head deli turkey and roast beef
        south beach grey poupon
        pork rinds
        water
        diet lime soda

thats what I had in a lump sum...

last few days the coffee and creamer
        chicken
        pork chop
        canadian bacon slices
        tuna
        eggs
        mayo
        mustard
        crystal light
        water

is this program not going to work for me?

Don't be bummed. I have rerestarted with the program this past week. The first time on the program I lost more than 60 pounds, year before last I went back on it to help maintain and this year I am going to lose the few pounds I have gained from the opriginal weight loss plus an additional 40. The beauty of it is is that I have ALWAYS been doing the induction phase. I stall evertime I try modify it. It is what worls for me.

It is also very common for some of us to begin to stall after the intial strong loss. Just keep going with it. Do yourself a favor and measure and remain constant and you will succeed with it.

FInally, make sure you are eating enough. If you feel hungry eat something alowed on the induction plan.

          Good luck!!

What else is in the creamer apart from splenda? most creamers have non-induction ingredients.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

thanks all...the induction works for me and I guess too much cheese might be culprit...the creamer has aspertame...didnt use it, heavy whipping instead...btw I am weaning off the coffee...not having diet soda and will see how next week is...

              hugs all!

No I dont think so...am upping them and posting in fitday account to seperate fats, proteins and carbs...

the creamer I was using had SUGAR FREE on it...hydrogenated oils, coconut or palm, corn syrup solids, and some non nutritive sweetner...

Re: Extended Induction here I come...

Oh man those strips have driven me past the mental breaking point. A few posts about them have been made on another part of the board which convinced me not to trust them. Or at least not to base the effectiveness of what I am doing on them. The proof to me was that I've lost a little over three pounds each of the three weeks I've been on this and since I've started those sticks have shown everything from trace to light purple and back again all in one day. The weight loss was consistant even when the stick things weren't.

(This is just my first goal. I got lots more to lose.)
