  • Heading to Extended Tomorrow

Hey all! Tomorrow is my 14th day and I figured I would say hi in here before I made my full way over.. I have a bunch to lose and I plan on remaining on Induction rules as long as I can handle it!

I have lost 12LBS and I am excited to see what happens in the coming weeks!

Congratulations on your first 2 weeks' loss

Now make sure you read the section in DANDR that talks of working out your metabolic resistance to weightloss from the chart and using that result to help decide how long to stay on induction.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

      Elizellen,

I read that chapter, however I am not on extended because of my resistance, I am on extended because I have a large amount of weight to lose.

Fair enough - but do be careful not to stay on induciton for too long. If you start to feel deprived by the limited choice (and tempted to eat offplan), or experience a long 'plateau' in your weightloss pattern then perhaps move into OWL lower rungs to increase your options.

OWL does mean 'ongoing weight loss' after all, and many members here have found their losses actuallt speed up once they start to add carbs from the lower rings in the order and manner described in DANDR.

Maybe its me, but I have no issues at all with the 20 carb limit.. I love preparing meat and I love steamed veggies and not a big sweet tooth guy.. So, I am loving it and hoping to continue on.. Thanks for the advice all!
