  • What about gum?

Can we have sugar-free gum on induction? Would that count towards our sweetener limit for the day? Or is it something we should avoid completely?

You need to count the carbs in it, if any, and yes, if it has artificial sweetener it will count towards your daily allowance.
It's really up to you whether you chew it or not. It's best if you have a really good clean Induction for the first two weeks but beyond that it's your choice. Some folks find that chewing something sweet triggers cravings, so if you choose to chew, be mindful of what it might do to you.

Trident Cinnamon and Dentyne both have sucralose in them. These are the originals not the new "ice" brands. A lot of your sugar free gums have aspertame.

Be sure to count each stick you chew as one of your sugars for the day.
