:sadblinky :no I was already disappointed with the fact that i only lost 7 lbs. in almost 3 weeks, but this a.m. i got on the scale and had gained 2 lbs. back. i felt so dissapointed in all the work i had done and lost it. I ate a peice of fried fish and a couple of fries for lunch, and then a few brownies and a glass of skim milk. is it too late for me? and why is the diet not working for me? I have not lost anymore than the first week and i dont feel i have lost inches either.

7 pounds in almost 3 weeks is good! That's more than 2 pounds per week. And since you only want to lose 33 pounds, that's 21% of how much you want to lose! Those are great numbers! The 2 pounds weight gain could just be normal weight fluctuations that we all through, it could be due to any number of thing - where you are in your cycle, how much sodium you eat, etc...
Have you tried posting your menus to be critiqued?-Cynthia (CeeDee)

Trish, how often are you weighing yourself?
If a small normal fluctuation is going to make you decide to eat potato, brownies and milk - DONT GET ON THOSE SCALES!! :cop
I am lucky in that seeing the scales go up now and again doesnt upset me or make me doubt the efficacy of this way of eating, so I see my weight constantly going up and down without panicking. Last week it was up 7 pounds overnight - and then came down again the next day!
Now what are you doing to get back on the Atkins trail again? :hugWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

We've got a stay off the scale challenge going on - you may wanna join us
Just remember you didn't put the weight on overnight, so you can't expect to lose it that quickly either. It's taken me since April 2004 to get down 45lb.
Stalls and plataues are natural part of weightloss, your body doesn't like losing fat, it will try and hold onto it in every way it can. Also remember, that when you lose fat - the first thing that happens is your fat cells replace the fat with water, so scale weight is the same, then it releases the water and you lose weight. Keeping track with a tape measure is usually much more satisfying than with a scale. TOM can play havoc too.
If you WANT to lose weight, you know what's involved now, so stay on plan and wait and see the amazing results due to come your way.30/f 182/137/130 5'5

Also remember not to ever ever compare your weightloss goals and achievements with those of others!! Sometimes we see others who have lost 20 lbs the first 2 weeks and then we don't we figure it isnt working- You have lost and at a good SAFE rate, so relax- re-evaluate your food journal and try to only weigh your self no more than once a week.
You can do this- I know you can !!!
((( Hugss)))) Now get back on that train and lets get losing!! :icondanceWife to Chris ( who is HOME!!!! :<))
