  • This forum has been really helpful!!!

Hi. I just wanted to say how helpful this forum has been in helping me to get started, and mostly sticking to, the Atkins journey. I researched the diet pretty extensively before I embarked on Induction due to the bad press and I found this site the most supportive. Anyway just wanted to say thanks! I'm doing pretty well too. I went to the doctors to get weighed on Friday and I had lost 5kg in 11 days! I think that's about 11lb. I had a slight stumble today at lunch after a stressful shopping trip with my 2 year old, but by dinner I was back on track. Now, if only I could find the time to start exercising.....I'll get there!

Goog job on the weight loss, puss_kat! That is repayment enough for any support you might have received. Seeing another Atkineer being successful in controlling what they eat and losing weight/inches.... Priceless. WTG!

Good for you!! What a great job you have done already. As the mom of 8 and 2 yr old girls, I know how much work you already put into them. Good for you for putting some tlc back into yourself now. Keep going strong :icondance

Great job~ I know its hard to start something new and even harder to find time, but you can do it! I have children too and find the best time is to either get up a little early or stay up a little later and exercise then! If you stay home, you might be able to exercise during nap time too if there is such a thing at your house! My little one (2.5 dd) is having some sleep problems as of late and NOTHING is helping! Last night she fell asleep at 5 while I was cooking, we woke her up when supper was ready and she didn't go back to sleep until 1am and was back up at 530.....needless to say my hiney is draggin and I had to work today for a few hrs because a new comp. system we're starting is going live tomorrow! Just see what you can do to work it out for you to exercise a bit and maybe when spring comes you can get outside with a stroller and walk! That's what I'm looking forward to!
