How to measure cups of salad

    Hi guys

I am a little confused over what exactly Dr Atkins means by 2-3 cups of salad per day.

Does he mean 3 measuring cups, or 3 handfuls, or is there a maximum weight (in grams using the Metric system) that we should adhere to?

Reason I ask is because if I were to use a standard measuring cup for salad - 3 cups is hardly anything! And if most of our carbs for the day are supposed to come from veggies, how can this be enough?

    thanking in advance.

I have always eaten my fill of salad. I never paid attention to the cup thing. I still lost like crazy. I wouldn't sweat it.

It depends on what sort of an Atkineer you are...whether you want to make sure to count every single carb, or if you are content with a little leeway.
I measured mine the first couple of times, until I was pretty sure I had a good visual on what 2 or 3 cups looked like. After that every few weeks or so I would re-measure to make sure I knew what I was doing. I was more vigilant during the first two weeks of Induction, but after that, since
the first rung of OWL is more veggies, I didn't panic so much about being exact.
The higher carb veggies, like pumpkin etc, I would recommend doing more exact measurements though.
