  • Should i re-start Induction

Here's my situation, i have finally read DANDR which gave me some more insite. But here is my question i had started extended induction, and i wasn't loosing any weight for a week (which i know technically isn't a stall) i've actually gained afew pounds (and i have seen threads on how weight loss isn't linear) but i have been reading alot on here and i found afew foods i ate during induction that i shouldn't have (too much splenda, coffee, creamer) (SF Jello) and most recently i found out about shredded Cheese not being good. i'm wondering if these things could have caused me to slow down. and if so should i start induction again so i have a clean induction? or should i just continute on and correct these problems as i find them. I don't drink coffee at all any more, i don't have jello, and i don't buy shredded cheese. sticking mainly to egg and meats and a salad every day. thanks for any advice.

    Hello there djc,
I see you are eating salads. Are you getting in your one cup of other veggies as well? Maybe you can post your menu so we can see what you're eating each day. You're on extended Induction so there's no reason to start over. Just make sure you're getting all of your required veggies in since that is where most of your carb count should come from each day. Hope this helps. By the way, WELCOME to ATKINS! I look forward to seeing you here.

Just carry on, I'd say... correcting those few things, of course. Extended induction is induction... same rules, same foods... just going on for longer. It isn't an Atkins phase proper.
You might think about moving to OWL shortly as many people find it jump starts their losses again if they have a post induction pause. Rung 1 is particularly good for jazzing up the losses and you can stay there for quite a while, if you like (depending on how much you have to lose).
