    hi all,

its day 21 for me and everything is going well at the minute regarding the woe.but i dont know if im paying to much attention to looking in the mirror every day, i mean one day i look and i think "yeah im looking good" and the next day i think"well i cant see a difference". my clothes are looser than ever but i still doubt myself, i know i come on and write depressing things about myself sorry for that! im away from my wife and son(into 4 weeks now)and im feeling really depressed today and totally lack any confidence in myself , even though i havent cheated at all.

going home march2nd for 1 week so that is my first goal when my wife tells me what she thinks, cant wait for that so ill just keep going and trying even harder.

    thanks

    mike

    Re: weird

I don't think that it's uncommon to have doubts. I do the same thing. Sometimes I look in the mirror and think I look so much better, and other times I look and it seems I haven't dropped any weight at all, even though my husband tells me I look noticeably smaller and my clothes fit better.

You are doing great! Keep up the good work.

        Re: weird

I am right there with ya. No matter how much I lose, sometimes, all I can see is what I "haven't" lost.

I keep looking at all the before and afters here and think, "wow, if they can do it, so can I."

I try to remind myself that it has taken 6 yrs to put the weight on, so its not gonna all fall off overnight.

Just stick with it. What helps me the most is, when I can, I try and just not focus on the weight loss aspect of it, but how much better I am feeling. Its like night and day.

If you try not to put all the focus on the weight part, you will look in the mirror one day and not even recognize yourself.

Also remember, as our bodys change, sometimes we are the last to notice a difference. Not only are we the most critical of ourselves but its hard to take those "fat goggles" off after wearing them for so long. Someties its hard to see ourselves any other way.

Don't forget you are missing your sweet family ~ that will add to the stress of being in induction. BIG HUGS!! Your wife is going to love your transformation -- but then again remember she already loves you! She is gonna just think you are a little bit hotter/sexier Please don't worry about thinking you are righting despressing things - actually I enjoy your posts - they are honest emotions... Also I believe that you are helping others with your posts - especially those that are still lurking and afraid to come out.. they two may have the same questions, concerns, doubts that you have - so on behalf of them Thank You for writing!

Mike: So glad you are feeling better today. I am officially going to be on Mike and Family reunion count down -- so I expect to here how wonderful it was and how proud your wife is/was of your amazing accomplishment and commitment. Start coming up with ideas on fun things to do with your family on your time off -- it will help pass the time & post here as often as possible as it also will help time fly - by the way you are almost officially into SINGLE digits now

                Take care my new friend!

                  Re: weird

I can totally relate! I complain about this VERY thing to my mother and husband. I have lost 25 pounds and I would think that EVERYONE would be going "Wow, you look good, have you lost weight"? Do they??? Nope. People that see me every day have made maybe ONE comment about it. But then I see people that I haven't seen in a month or two and they comment on it. And I convince myself, they are only doing it because they have heard me complain others aren't......LOL. Like I saw my mother-in-law and she was like "Wow, Jen. You look awesome". And as soon as she left I was drilling my husband asking if he asked her to say it. Even when he said no, I still thought he lied.

It's like I can't SEE it. So no one else can. I have bought smaller clothes, feel smaller, see the weight on the scale go down.........but STILL can't SEE it. And those around me each day can't seem to.........UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am right there with you, buddy!!!!
